I have been told that Hospitat Universitario Rafael Mendez allows in-patients to pay for a room with a bed for use by a relative to assist. . Is this facility also available at Huercal Overs.
they usually have a chairbed by each bed for relatives to stay with the patient. Depending on the seriousness of the patient whether the room is private or shared by another.
The Vithas Virgen del Mar hospital on the outskirts of Almeria has private rooms with a spare bed for a member of the family. This is automatic with private medical insurance, but I suppose you can pay but you'd have to pay for all the rest as welI. I would ask your GP if they know of anything. I know for one that I couldn't spend the night on a plastic reclining chair especially in a room shared with other patients.
Not everyone has a person accompanying them as many people live on their own. In these cases the night nurse has to keep a eye on the patient and do the necessary when it's necessary!
