That’s a very broad question; to answer what I believe may be the thrust of your question, there are quite a few English speaking dentists here; dental treatment is very VERY affordable and nearly all advanced dental treatments are available.

My wife uses Koral Dental Clinic in the shops on the main roundabout into Vera; excellent service and English speaking.  Two fillings, a full clean and an X-Ray came to 70,00€

Saludos, Darío

Hi,

Out here it is perfectly acceptable and usual to visit several dentists specifically for the purposes of a quote. Years ago a friend in Huercal Overa visited a local dentist for an acute problem and was quoted 2000+€s for dental work most of which was cosmetic. Our then dentist in Puerto Lumbreras attended to.the problem for 75€. Shop around and unlike UK there is/are a plethora of dentists. Personal suggestion, avoid those that advertise aimed at Brits. You can draw your own conclusions.

Hi and Hello to you both, Many thanks for taking the time to answer this, we are most grateful. We are looking into the possibility of moving to spain in november and are trying to amass as much information as we can to help us make up our minds. We are coming to the area in late April on a fact finding trip. We are looking to rent for a couple of years to "test the water" and then possibly purchase a modest house for permanency.  Once again many thanks

Regards Mark and Jen

Rental. SO SENSIBLE. Then u have all the time in the world. You must be mobile as public transport is patchy to say the least. Anyway there is Brexit to factor in.

Every best wish,

Bob and Sandra

PS Sandra has just mentioned that the English speaking Dental practise at Centro Commercial, Mojacar charge 50Euros for checkup & scale & polish. Our dentist in Puerto Lumbreras is 0 for examination, 25€ for minor scale & polish and 40€ for a minor. We use Waterpik at homes so Sandra usually walks out with no charge. In fact they don't usually charge her for X-rays . Now a new practise in Puerto Lumbreras is undercutting. Our dental treatment.has always been excellent and, hand on heart, way better than UK over 70 years.
