Hi there,

Just a few questions to the experienced Expat in Almeria ( not necessarily just Mojacar ). So away from the coast 20-30 miles or indeed on the playa such as Mojacar and Vera and similar.......

Q1. So in general terms, what does in rental terms get you for Euro 500-750 monthly ?

Q2. Are long term rentals available? When I say long term I am thinking of several months and maybe even 2-3 years. Whats the score regarding that?

Kind regards

Steve

Hello Steve

Hmmm, I have a long season rental (September to May), near buganvillas, Vera playa, 2 bed 1 1/2 bath duplex with small front terrace and full roof terrace, I pay 400 plus bills per month.

Mojacar tends to be a little more expensive, but to be honest, there is so much rental property and so few renters that at this point I'd say you could arrange an off season rental in pretty much any of the coastal areas well within your budget.

I don't know much about inland areas.

Long term rentals, so one year and over, are less prolific, but they are certainly there within your budget

Hi I am hoping to get over to almeria in June this year covid pending as it was cancelled last year

We are going to look at areas and house with the aim to buying and moving out in the next year and half

Plenty of time to find the right area

Recommendations for areas close to amenities but preferably semi rural with a little land I am hoping to run a holiday business yurt or pod or even room to let good walking and cycling areas is a must for myself and my business ideas

My daughter may be coming out so not too far from schools or hospitals

It is a minefield just looking in the internet I have started to out a spreadsheet together for the different areas

I am learning Spanish now

My partner is 55 and myself 50 we want to be amongst the Spanish but not be too far from expat areas

A little bit of insight into recommended areas would be really appreciated

Lubrin was my first port of call but not sure if it is going to be too far out from beaches airport etc

Thank you in advance for any help offered
