Yesterday we went to Aguilas along the coast road and at one of the coves we saw one of those powerful rubber dingies heading out to sea and then about a dozen young men walking along the road towards Villaricos  further on along the road towards San Juan the GC had apprended another group heading in that direction.   They looked a sorry sight in flip flops and trackies all cluthcing a mobile phone.  They would have to walk a long way to get to anywhere with life.  We assume that the GC caught up with the first group as well.

Not sure what Spain does with them now.

I’d dispute the word “inundated”.  Of total immigration, 0,04% arrive in the UK by boat.  There are currently 32.950 asylum seekers there.  They arrive by boat because to claim asylum, they must be in the country in which they intend to claim asylum.  It is not illegal to seek asylum, nor is there any law in existence that directs asylum to be sought in first safe harbour.

“Inundated” and “invasion” are the words being used by people to stoke the fires of anger and create fear and division.

Same as Spain.  There is no “invasion” here, we are certainly not “inundated”.  Asylum claims are processed, if successful they’ll resettle here or elsewhere in Europe - legally.  If not, they are deported.  Spain has low tolerance for illegal overstays.

In the UK there are protests about this and it will also happen in Spain. There isn't any work for them anyway so they will rely on handouts paid out of taxes we pay. It's incredible this is happening no wonder they keep coming.

I’m sorry, but that is just the same nonsense blather the Reform supporters are trying to use in UK.  Its really just complete fearmongering drivel

Unless these people are Alta on Seguridad Social, they receive nothing.  The Spanish social security differs greatly from UK

And in UK, until and unless asylum claim is processed, they receive £48 a week, or £9 a week if given lodging and three meals a day.  This comes out of the UK Overseas Aid budget, so not “your taxes”

I  don't agree with you. Its a big problem.  They will end up in the UK and the overseas budget must come from UK Taxes . Charity begins at home and more help is needed to elderly people who struggle to live on meagre state pensions

So where does the Overseas Aid budget come from??  And what  worthy previous recipients in countries that need aid have lost out?

It is illegal to arrive in Britain without  a visa, on a plane or rubber dinghy.

Spain may have deserted villages in the countryside?  There is a huge housing crisis in Britain, our countryside is  being obliterated by new housing estates, long long queues for social housing, where are immigrants going to live?  Accommodation is unbelievably expensive in London where over half the current inhabitants have parents born outside Britain.  Rich Arabs and Americans in 'smart' areas,  Caribbean, Indian, Sudanese or Pakistani etc etc mostly concentrated into their 'own' districts, like, say, Tower Hamlets.

When animals are very overcrowded they live resentful and unhappy lives and tend to start fighting each other, humans are the same.

You dont live in the UK Dario, so you are getting your info 2nd hand or from the media, it is a HUGE problem here, setting aside the financial aspect, these men coming in from middle eastern countries do not have to same values or respect as most British people, they think it is OK, to assault young girls, to be abusive, they have no jobs so hang about the streets causing problems. These illegal immigrants that we have been landed with bring no identification with them, they lie about their ages and deny any criminal activity, yet this stupid government that we have here, seem next to useless to stop them. They are a problem and if they want asylum then they should apply through the proper channels.

I totally agree with you jenni.its getting totally out of control now and something needs to change and fast.

I work for a builder who is making millions out of this crisis. He has a contract with the council/home office. He buys the houses /propertys and then converts them into many many HMO/FLATS.and there all kitted out with everything they need...this has been going on for years.! It started with the Ukraines(ok)now it's boat people.keeps me in a good job.(painting them) but that's not the point...we have people here in Wales waiting on the housing list for over 4 years....ITS bloody wrong. We are a soft country and I'm afraid this problem ain't going away in a hurry when we keep giving them the red carpet treatment....

I'm all for putting them in military base's till they get vetted properly.

Better still the French should slash the dingys b4 they even leave the shores.Instead of standing there watching them illegally come to our shores.
