Went for a walk along the beach on Christmas morning in Mojacar Playa, there was four people coming towards us with two dogs. We were wary of the two dogs which were a Black Labrador & a Great Dane, so we moved up the beach to keep out of their way. When the dogs noticed us they bounded over to us & circled around us. We shouted to the people I was allergic to dogs & one of the ladies said if you are allergic to dogs, you shouldn't come here. Whether she meant Mojacar or the beach, we don't know. We replied, so it's our fault we have come here not your dogs not being on a lead. We have never been to Spain before & we like it but we find the selfish English dog-lovers are spoiling it with their dog muck all over the pavements.

Season's Greetings,

100% agreement. Believe me there are some real sociopaths living out here. One reason we socialise with very few of our countrymen/ women so.many of whom have reinvented themselves.

So sorry you experienced such trash.

I have a dog. I love my dog. But, I don't lose sight that my dog is an animal. The dog must be cared for, exercised, treated well and also taught to keep away from humans. I am sorry you had this experience on the beach today. You deserve to be treated better by dog owners. Don't blame the dogs.

Typical English Women i would say. Not all of course so don't start saying 'My Wife is bla bla bla'.

I have countless fights with people over dogs and 99% of the time it is the ignorant Owners.

Basically in UK it is a 'Puck You' culture!   PERIOD

I totally agree, it wasn't either of the dog's fault but the selfish owners.

Merry Christmas Everyone & All the very best for 2020

Yes very typical   a friend of mine was looking after her sons dog and it was attacked on the beach by a similar situation.   If her dog a small.dog had no coat on it was not.have survived.

Dogs should be kept on lead and owners pick up the shit.

Truly an awful experience, we had always had dogs and ensure they are well behaved and trained. It is not the dogs fault at all but the blame lays squarely with the owners.  I understand that there is a dog friendly beach in Mazaron so that's where they should take them.

There are more good dog walkers than bad.........as always in all situations in life a few do the spoiling and, if you are allergic to dogs you have a problem the world over.  This time of year the joy for responsible dog owners (with their pooh bags etc) is to be able to go on the beach...........and walk their dogs. Great Danes are big softies, chill out and enjoy..........life ain't so bad!  Happy Crimble and New Year.

We had a similar bad experience, it was terrifying for my aged mother dogs running at us, got a load of verbals too but as me and my bro are ex army they soon backed off, not allergic to dogs just one of the very few in the world, and wait for it this is where i get hung, drawn and quartered, i hate the creatures anywhere near me. I dont want one coming up to me, jumping up at me, dragging its claws down my clothes or trying to lick me to death, bearing in mind how they clean their nethers!!! We are not all lovers of everyone elses pets and other people should be respected, but ask politely that they keep them under control, and you are abused or threatened, i know there are good owners out there but i do sympathise with you over your experience, they should all be on leads and short ones at that. Unfortunately people like that dont give a shit for anyone else, please dont let it put you off being here, it is a great place to be and most people are friendly.
