Places to live you have found after you have moved to Mojacar/Almeria ?

I know this has been touched on in other threads with people asking where to live, but i was wondering if there were situations where you have bought a house in Almeria region, and once you have lived there for a while and explored the region in more detail, that there are towns/villages - maybe up in the hills/sticks where you have thought, wow, this is the place i would REALLY like to live.?

Hello,

I didn't move to the area then look around but, my wife and I did spend a lot of time searching last summer. I had contacted a long list of estate agents with our requirements. I created a long list of must haves, nice to have and must not have. We thought our ideal property would be a two bed apartment within walking distance to the beach.

We based ourselves in Estapona, as we thought we would buy in Costa Del Sol. We absolutely loved Estapona, just couldn't afford to buy there. We met and talked to several estate agents, most of whom were very disappointing. Eventually we decided to go further afield, so travelled along the coast in Almeria. We contacted Jo at Olive Properties, based in Bedar and Lubrin.

We looked at a 3 bed villa twenty five minutes from Mojacar, although nothing matched our criteria, we both loved the house and its very quiet location. Almost a year later we concluded the deal.
