Today the race goes from Vera town to the Observetory so  beware in the Antas area of bikes at 1ish as they set off through Arboleas Albox and make their way to their destination.

Roads in Vera are blocked off for the route and designated parking areas available.

Just watched it in Albox, also had a bag of goodies as the various sponsors were giving away freebies. Well organised, but some people delayed as they parked in places right on the route.

I can stand at my window and watch men on bikes go by every day.

Oh I learnt about THAT the hard way.  Trying to go from Vera Playa to Tyre King in Antas.  FAT chance.  After getting stuck in Vera town centre with every road towards Tyre King blocked, I eventually ended up going back to Las Buganvillas via La Cabuzana back road, then headed towards Los Gallardos, turn right at the Repsol and pick up the A7 / E15 at the 704, then take the highway to Antas.  Took me an hour and 10 minutes to get from Vera Playa to Antas industrial estate!!

well they didn't advertise it well we were amazed when we went to wash our car at the garage on the duel carriageway from Las Bouganvillas to Vera and there were GC motorbike outriders washing their bikes and endless GC in their cars pulling up at the side.  Lots of them to police the routes but not to apprehend any criminals.

I knew NOTHING about it until I got to the main Vera roundabout and there was a traffic jam and HUNDREDS of cars in team colours and with bikes on their roofs heading across the roundabout towards VdE …

I’m 1500 Kim’s distant from Vera. Even a month ago I knew the routes of La Vuelta. I get the impression that many middle age women in Vera are not happy campers since the 12th stage of La Vuelta.

Judging by the numerous cars driving around trying to just get somewhere yesterday, many people of both sexes and all ages were not happy campers

I read it in  the Voice on line on the day and met the GC and that was how we knew what it was all about.  It always seems that they never advertise things in advance to all so you have to be in the loop.  Like the new play area garden in Mojacar.

If you have Facebook it’s been well discussed for a while, plus it’s on Spanish tv channel v. Every Ayuntamiento website, plus the usual traffic ones have all the details.
