Does everyone know they are now erected a whole area of plastic green houses some over 8 hectares in size just behind Mojacar hills? There are a whole hill side of them!!!!!  Almeria here we come! How they get planning to do this is an area of beauty as is it advertised to tourists and those looking to buy beats me. The area will be devalued and looked on as green house country.

Of course not, does everyone have to be so confrontational in reply............I think they should be in one place....they destroy the beauty of the countryside............and by the way, I don't eat take away's but do enjoy yours.

I am not replying to your email in depth about the greenhouses but,...........just a normal explanatory response is good, without making it a personal onslaught calling people names and making innuendo's about take away's, nothing wrong with take away's anyway.........I am sure there are some fantastic areas of Almeria without looking at greenhouses.

Your tone is so angry JJ  We are not looking to argue or score points just chat on the forum and get sensible/interesting view points which opens our minds to others points of view............actually you can get fat free take away's if you chose right any where on the planet, choice is yours to chose, Vietnam, Oz, South Africa, France on and on here in Spain, even believe it or not in the UK. Covid has opened a huge market in takeaways from all sorts of restaurants. Seriously if it is possible to have a discussion with you, not an argument.....we are just upset re the greenhouses as we bought our houses because of the beautiful views having worked our socks off for years and landed here in beautiful dramatic Spain, all is good, sitting on the veranda at night in the welcome breeze just sighing with contentment looking at our views, we are now going to be looking directly at the huge banks of greenhouses stretching hectare after hectare so we are all not best pleased!! We get it, of course we do re the freshness of the vegetables here and indeed the flavour, but we are sad about our views being taken after all the pleasure they have given us over the years and one of the reasons we bought our houses in this area.  I do think if it were possible an area should be designated for their erection..........rather than keep on grabbing the country side all over the place which spoils it. Spain is huge and I am sure they could plan that.

No probs..........it's a bugger but hey ho eh!!!  Thanks for understanding, to be fair they are going to try and screen them with trees we have had meetings with all sorts from the land owners, to the company doing to it, to mayors and helpers and, it seems it is what it is, we of course are not happy but it is a case of wait and see, we have had another meeting this morning and it is all down to the trees to be planted...........as camouflage, so keep your fingers crossed they are big enough and planted densely!! Wish they had!!!  The people doing it got planning apparently 2 or 3 years ago and all is in order, they are huge trust me anything from 3 - 4 hectares to 8 or 9............whole hill side. I only bought the house 18 months ago, they do not seem to do searches as they do in the UK for any developments due to happen, I would not have bought this house had I known. What worries me is does this open the flood gates to others and more of them as we are surrounded by countryside?!!  We have already noticed some really tatty ugly ones which have suddenly gone up further along. These people doing the one's opposite our houses, tell us they produce biological crops, have bought us boxes of fresh veg which is lovely, taken some of my neighbours to other sites to show them how they do it all etc etc, all really kind, but, they just don't seem to get it, i.e. what effect it has on those living by them..............the huge lorries which will come daily to pick up produce = dust and noise, bleep bleep as refrigerated juggernauts reverse in and drive out and, a minimum of 40 people we have been informed coming and going to do the picking daily and then, the blot on the countryside. The one saving grace is they have been told they cannot import labour has to be locals people fantastic. But for us we are left with noise, dust, and the green houses.....people coming and going, might as well be on a highway!!.......oh joy!!  When we had peace and beauty. Sorry to moan but we are gutted.
