How do I get a Fishing Licence?

Hi as a life-long angler it became so complicated here that I gave up in the end and yes you do need a license for sea fishing. Have seen Guardia police Carboneras.

The original Arboleas Forum not the newer EU version has the Albox fishing club listed. You would need to join that Forum but I think you can register as a Guest and then click on Home and scroll down.

Best if luck as I never thought I would stop fishing in retirement. Come to think of it Angling matters are covered in one of the free papers towards the back. Think it's Euro Weekly and there may be contact details there.

I understand there is fishing tackle shop in Garrucha behind the beac bars ar the Marina and he will help you get a licence. They cost about €20 but are free is you are a pensioner. There are some guys at the Marina with boats that organise fishing trips for fee. Good luck

You can get a licence from the fishing tackle shop next to the Repsol petrol station on the coast road between Garrucha and Mojacar.

You have to take your NIE and a copy so they can send the copy of to the town hall or some similar house of bureaucracy along with your application form - your licence should be sent back to the tackle shop within a week or so.... for you to collect.

There are 3 different licences: Shore, Boat and Spear Fishing. So be sure to get the right one!

Do you happen to know whether they speak English in the tackle shop as my Spanish is limited to being polite and ordering drinks though I plan to work on that

There is a small fishing tackle shop next to the petrol filling station on the way to Garrucha. Go there with passport photos etc andd they will be able to help you. I understand that they speak a little English. You need a licence for both beach and boat. If you are a pensioner the licence is free. Not sure how much it costs if you are not a pensioner

Anyone know if you can fish for trout or similar inland..we live near Albox & husband was a very keen fly fisherman in UK. If so where do I get a licence?

My husband has his freshwater license for Murcia province, Andalucia a bit more complicated. It's mainly carp, no trout in this area. If you would like to know any more info I can pm you
