Hi, possibly around Vera town area as there are a few ex-pats around that area, there are 2 golf courses nearby, Val de Este and Desert Springs. Can't give you any idea what either of these courses are like but believe they are quite good.

I live (and work) at Valle del Este and it really is paradise :-) well, that’s how we view it.  Fabulous place, great golf course (apparently - I’m not a golfer) and only 7 minutes drive from Vera

I am a new member myself and wife are hoping to Palomares  in the next month or so .I am retired telecoms worker I still do a bit  work here and there .Would they be any type of this type of work around have copper and fibre experience ,

You can but ask, when you get here, but unless you speak some Spanish, I’d suggest you have very little chance.

I am an experienced Network Engineer, and speak intermediate Spanish .... I work as a Waiter / Barman...... the Internet companies who would need installation techs around here seem to go with friends, friends of friends and family.  

I’m not saying it’s impossible, but in this area of Southern Spain, you may find it challenging to get work in that field.
