Hi, I could do with help and advice on the feasibility of moving my family to a village near Lubrin. My family is myself and 2 children 8 & 9 years. I want to buy a place in the countryside for the peace and quality of life, that will give myself and children a morally valued lifestyle. UK is a difficult and downing place to rear children. I have the finance to purchase a house for my family and also a small apartment nearer the cost. I have many working years experience of airbnb property letting in the UK. And I want to be able to earn an income by letting the apartment to holiday lettings. Is this feasible ? I would also wish my children to go to a local state school, is there amount of bullying towards UK kids, what is the feasibility of this ? The house in the country will also have bnb potential specialising in bike trails. Leaping into this idea needs foresight  and I hope anyone could provide me with some and loads of common sense. thank you

In principle there's nothing wrong with what you have planned, in fact I know of a few people locally who've made the move with kids and have them in the local schools.

Similarly, people who rent out property - the renting out does work but you'd need to factor in the possibility of a slow start of course - with hard work and determination anythings possible

I'd advice caution over property selection, make sure your getting everything you expect - sol's here will ask what questions you have when conveyancing - so it's imperative to let them have a comprehesive list

Good luck

Our British next door neighbour has her 9 year old daughter at the local Spanish state primary school in Los Gallardos and 5 months in she's thriving.

As previously said , just factor in lots of extra costs for the purchases , for example if you have a budget of 150k , it should cost approx 10% more but allow 15 and you be very happy with result.

We also rent out air b n b and guessing that the apartment would be 2 bed and on the coast then prices will have to be in line with others, it can be a pain at times ,

Don’t know about schools , but I’m sure they can be no worse that ones in uk lol good luck .
