There is nothing like Dunelm, but for UK bedding a good choice is Me and Mrs Jones who are at Los Llanos market at Arboleas every Saturday. http://meandmrsjonestransport.co.uk/los-llanos-market

Most of the garden centres do good patio furniture, we got ours from the garden centre on the Las Buganvillas roundabout between Garrucha and Vera. Or there's Inspired which is on the El Real Industrial Estate at Antas - http://www.inspiredgardenfurniture.com/. Some of the second hand shops and auction places like AA Auctions between Arboleas and Albox sometimes have good patio furniture too.

For removing old furniture, providing it's in a reasonable condition there is Castano Home Clearance near Bedar who will remove it free of charge. Mark and Teresa there are at https://www.facebook.com/castanoclearance/. I believe there is also someone closer to the pueblo and if BobL reads this he'll know who they are.

Hi,

Thanks Rob & couldn't agree more about Andy & Cheryl of www.meandmrsjonesfurniture.     which is their online catalogue where u can browse, choose & order and pay on delivery or on order. ('£££ or €€€€). If you want to see the goods then they are now not only at Los Llanos market but others locally. They are currently buying/ collecting in UK and back on 18th. Their parents run the stall while they are away.

You can also look on their site for patio furniture but if they don't have what  you want then it will probably be more cost-effective to buy from Argos/ B&Q, etc, have it shipped to them and they bring it out. Numerous people out here, including ourselves have done this as little out here is inexpensive.

You will also see patio furniture for sale on the local Facebook Forums of which there are several and we have a neighbour with a van who can collect and deliver for 10€/hr+ fuel.

Now your old furniture.

If you want to dump then any bin on the 6th or 20th of the month-any month ( that's legal). You can donate to Charity & they will collect or you can sell on the various Forums. We purchased an apt on Mojacar Playa with 2 sofas. We ordered from DFS-3 months to delivery. We advertised on the Facebook Forums & sold within a week. Only 15O€ but something.

There are 3 2nd Hand shops on the  Playa of which we prefer Brian's Secondhand. Brian is a super chap but you loose 50% of the Sale price. He is on www. or info@ brians.es

So I hope some or all of that is useful. Any queries or Contact details pls ask.

Best wishes,

Dr. Bob and Sandra

We had same problem with unwanted furniture when we moved to Mojacar.  Someone advised us to call Brian's Second Hand Shop here, who would come and look at what we had and would take some away, price it up and sell it, giving us a good percentage of the sale.  He came out the same day, took everything and sold it very quickly.  We thought we might get some small change from this, but were taken aback pleasantly at just how much we did get.  Definitely the way to go.  Hope this is helpful.
