Hi everyone I hope you are all well. Just an update to say I arrived in Mojacar on the 24th Sept the day before my birthday so itā€™s a date I will never forget for the start of my new life. Iā€™m renting a duplex at the moment on the Mirador Del Mar, and to be perfectly honest not keen at all but thatā€™s a learning curve and the whole point of renting. In the plus side I have met some lovely people and have been out and about. I have my Padron, a Spanish Bank Account and a Spanish Phone Number, had a delay in getting my Health Insurance but now on to this with a broker and another company. Iā€™ve viewed a few properties with the view to buy but nothing suitable but itā€™s early days yet. Itā€™s all a massive learning curve but only to be expected, moving to another country and starting a new life was never going to be a walk in the park :-) But looking forward to a brighter and better life here in Spain.

Hi Sandra,

You have taken the most important step and thatā€™s the first step!

Good luck with your searches and to be honest, you will KNOW when you have found the one for you, so just take your time and follow your instincts and follow your heart with what feels best for you.

Good luck and enjoy the experie

Regards

Danny

Hi I drove down in September. Two things Iā€™d mention; tolls very expensive in France! Watch out for scammers around Barcelona who pull up next to you on the motorway and indicate thereā€™s a problem with your car. They want you to stop and then rob you. They tried with me and I ignored them but when I investigated later I realised it was a common occurrence. Other than that it was an enjoyable few days!
