Accomadation

It really depends what you want: Mojacar Playa is vibrant with the bars & restaurants and the beach, the Pueblo is fantastic and more traditional but other places further up the coast like Palomares are also good if a bit quieter - and we have a rental property there at https://www.no19palomares.co.uk/ :)

As to the best airport, we can't answer that, it depends where you are flying from in the UK and what day you are flying as the schedules vary and not all airlines fly every day. But it's easy to look it up online. We regularly fly in to both Murcia and Almeria and our next visit in 10 days time is to Murcia from Gatwick then drive down the empty toll road. Our holiday home at Los Gallardos is 35 minutes from Almeria but about 1 hour 25 minutes from Murcia. The property at Palomares is 55 minutes from both. It's the flight schedule that usually determines where we fly into.

Hi John,

Most holiday home owners in Mojacar Playa are still recovering from the property price crash. The economic recovery in Spain is at glacial pace compared to the rest of europe. Consequently, those who rent out their apartments etc have had to work harder over the years and they cherish repeat rentals like Brits cherish the offspring of the Royals. I would bet most of them are focusing on rentals for the year 2020 now.

Available rentals are there. It's only a case of finding them. I reckon this site is a good place to start and 'Mojacar Facebook' is not bad either.

. . . I didn't realise other people have private jets too. Mine is just outside Vera. I'm having difficulty recruiting stewards and stewardesses. I think I'll put an ad in the Mojacar Advertiser.

Hi John. I have a 4 bed 3 bath villa which is available for part of September.  It is a short distance from Mojacar, up in the mountains nearby. VILLA PIKORUA offers luxury accommodation, truly stunning views, tranquility and one of the largest private pools in the area. If you would like to find out more, we let it through Exclusive Holiday Villas. You can Google them for the website address or I can pm it to you if you wish.  People coming to Mojacar usually fly into either Almeria airport ( abput 50 mins away) to Murcia ( abput 90 mins) or to Alicante( about 120 mins). Which ever you choose you can catch the shuttle bus or rent a car. It's motorway the whole way. Hope this helps. All the best and enjoy your stay in beautiful Almeria!

Also what availability do you have for September and what are the facilities and the rent.

If you google playa ventanicos you will see the beautiful beach .... it is in south Mojacar ..... 

the apartment is in cumbres and it’s the attic apartment so you get the roof terrace (the foto) all to yourself ....

I am just getting the renting licence sorted out now .....

As I haven’t started renting yet availability is wide .... no one booked in yet .... 

as for the price ... I’m not sure yet but probably around 80 - 100 per night for 2 .. depending on the length of stay etc ....
