Morning

Can anyone advise of where to buy fresh herbs..I can only seems to find bay leaves in the supermarkets.

We can't grow herbs in our garden  here, as we are off grid water wise and we are not here all year round and they just die.

Many thanks.

I asked this question awhile ago and got no responses that I found helpful.

So I hope this helps;

Strange as this may sound but I buy mine at the local garden center. I found, my local ones anyway, have a good variety I even found Mexican cilantro. They are about 2€ for a good sized plant. That is usually the price of a bunch from Mercadona or one of the bigger chain supermecados..

These I found do not last more than a few days either

The potted ones can live in their little pots for a few months, with a little care and water. What ever I do not use I dry. This is very easy really and gives me a supply for quite awhile.

See here for one  easy method for drying.

Thank you, that's  a really a good idea.

Funnily enough  I was just thinking  that buying potted ones from a garden centre  would be the way forward. And if they are still going when we go back to England I can give them to friends here. I will look out for the Mexican Cilantro!

Try your local market. The florist stall may sell herbs in pots.

Do they stock fresh herbs?

 I have never seen any there. It's great for dry ones alright as well as a good selection of herbal teas but I do not think they stock fresh.
