What’s happened to flights to Almeria (from Manchester ideally). There’s nothing direct appearing for months. When are these likely to appear?

Even Murcia seems sporadic and really expensive. Does anyone know if this is likely to change soon (like when Monarch used to release their flight schedule)?

They don't operate direct MAN to LEI during the winter.  From what I can see the first this year is by Ryanair on 29th March and the first by Jet 2 is on 3rd May.  Use Skyscanner to find the full schedule.

Yes your correct, it's the same every year.

Also from Birmingham Airport and it used to be the same for East Midlands, but unsure whether East Midlands is even having any Almeria flights this year at all.  I think Gatwick may be the only airport with flights all year round.

This has always been like this.

The holiday companies never liked Almeria for winter breaks so no flights, Better now than it used to be a the season longer and more places open. When i first came in the 80's  most places were shut from early october til easter week . The old restaurants , CasaEgea, Adelena in Turre were always open.

We like to fly to corvera if possible but no flights from Bham or Bristol at moment. Flew to Alicante in Dec and are doing so again in March for Palomares. E$xtra drive but generally cheaper car hire.

They really are missing an opportunity,  we were there in February/March 2020 and the weather was gorgeous but went cooler in the evening.  There are plenty of flights to Malaga and Alicante, so why nothing for the area in the middle?  For the last 30+ years they said they were going to extend the season,  but NO.

Hi,

Not quite sure why the airlines don't fly to Almeria given the all round weather (for the most part). Maybe it's not a profitable route (BA tried it a couple of years ago then it was axed).

Like you we head out of Manchester and like to get to Almeria (Mojacar base). Pricing to Almeria is cheaper than Murcia in season.

Out of season we use the excellent service on Exclusive Coach Shuttles from/to Alicante which is a bit of pain given early starts either way but worth it once we're in Mojacar.
