Congrats to ya'll on youre moves, we are Ann and Jim, we live inland roughly 45 minutes from the coast in a small village called Urcal near the bigger town of Huercal Overa, great group of ex pat friends plus a nice mix of Spanish, we have a doctors surgery and dispenary, school, 7 minutes from the A7/E15 motorway, 12 minutes from Huercal Overa. Village has been featured twice on A Place in the Sun. Darts nite on Thursdays at one of the two local bars, Bar Amazir.

Well served by multiple cafes/restaurants bars etc, Lidl, Consum and Mercadona plus an english shop.

We've been here since driving partners rhd car down last March 2017 and love it, just today we only unlocked the gate at 7pm to go for a lovely meal cooked by some great friends just down the street, Friday partner cooked a hot curry for other friends round the corner down another street for friends, one of who has mobility problems due to fluid on both knees, we all, and I'm talking 14-15 enjoy meals at different places and usually come back to partners place after for drinks etc, hopefully you'll garner youre own group of friends, learn some Spanish and begin to feel at home. If youre over thiscway get in touch, theres always wine in the fridge and tea and coffee handy lol.
