Sorry just noticed you are 55 so that’s great, my numbers [Personal details removed for safety - please use PM] if you want to add me and we could go from there 😁

Hi Trishie,

Congrats on finding yourself a place, in the meantime. I have noted your number, but sense the group is a women’s group, so will leave that to gather it’s momentum - it’s a good idea to have it on What’s app!

Anyway, enjoy and once everyone is here, we could all perhaps all meet up for The Three Kings celebration in January. I hear it’s a good festival to be part of!

Regards

Dan

Hi

I'm Graham

I'm 64,and live in Los Gallardos village.. I'm a retired lawyer.. My wife recently passed, but would love to assist you in any way possible, to ease your transition into Spanish life.

I have a good friend who has just commenced Spanish classes, and he is really easy going.

I can assist with all the procedures for Padrons, Doctors, etc.

Would be more than willing to help

Graham

Hi Graham, I am new to Garrucha so not sure where Los Gallardos village is and I do not drive.   I would welcome any help.  I have got a Padron and have met with a local lawyer so am just waiting to get the appointment to sort my NIE number.  I think I need to sort health insurance.   Sorry about your wife by the way.  Be good to meet up X

Hi Claire,

The site is a good start, as there are so many friendly people that are so welcoming and will help you settle in and learn more about the area. I am heading back to Uk on Friday and back again on 7th Oct for a week.

If you are about and fancy a coffee and catch up then, would certainly love to. I am trying to find a local builder who could possibly build an outdoor bar for my solarium, so keep an ear to the ground for me!

Best wishes and good luck.

Dan

Hi Dan

I would love to meet up for a coffee when you return in October.  I have a friend staying and we are heading to Benidorm for a few days.

So far I am liking Garrucha and today going to do exploring in Majacar.  I don't have a car, not sure if I will get one in the future.

Safe journey back to the UK.

Best wishes.

Claire

Hello again , I have also now arrived in the area, I'm renting just between Vera playa and Garrucha, would love to be included in the whatsapp group if that's ok? I've been here just a couple of weeks, started the paperwork, eek, loving the sunshine and slower pace, but it would be nice to meet a few more people in the same boat!

There is also a FB group called ladies moving to Spain which is great for a bit of support.

I'm very happy to meet up for coffees and glasses of vino, or a bit of live music anywhere. Vera doesn't allow live music at the moment, but mojacar does so I'd be happy to jump on the bus if anyone else fancies a drink and some music.

Hope to meet some of you soon, and if I could join the whatsapp I'd really appreciate that too. I'm in my late 50s...how on earth did that happen😎😎

Hi, I arrived in Garrucha a week ago.  A friend came with me and is staying until Sunday but from then on I am on my own.  I am 555 and single.  Hoping to join walking/lunch groups and learn the language with a tutor.  I am renting an apartment but perhaps looking to buy when ...

...I see what Brexit is doing.  Would love to meet up with people that are in the same position.  I am glad to be here in Spain but find it all a little daunting.  Claire

Hi, I moved here in July and  looking as you are to meet-up with lady’s of a similar age!

I live inTurre, just 10 minutes in the car from Garrucha and Mojácar. If you would like to meet up for coffee I would be happy to meet up with you!

Here’s to a good life here in Spain!

Hi Claire,

I go to Garrucha all the time to do my shopping at the supermarket. It’s about 15 minutes drive from Los G. Not been out there apart from that.

Thanks again and good luck with your explorations.

Regards

Dan

Hi,

can you tell me a bit more about yourself? I should not have put my personal number on the main page, are you female? This group is for females only currently and is a private group, I have removed the post

Trishie,

I will delete as I sensed that to be the case!

Hi Beannie I assume you are female? We all have a photo to introduce ourselves, so would be grateful to send one
