relocating to mojacar in late October, early November, single, alone, and starting again after children all left home, any tips, advice? Looking to meet new people and make friends, any ideas where is best place to start? anyone like to meet up? doing the same thing?

Hi,
All being well I should be arriving in Mojacar at the end of Sept or beginning of Oct.
I'm also a single lady and will be looking to make new friends, join groups and take Spanish Language Lessons. I just need a completion date on my house here in the UK and then I can book a flight (if they are still available) and sought out an apartment to rent before I buy.
I will be posting again on this Forum when I arrive :-)

I will also be arriving beginning September all being well, happy to meet up, I’ll be over towards vera/Garrucha . Planning to find some Spanish lessons and meet some people. Starting over.....its exciting

You have made a good decision.Mojacar is the ideal place to live.Its easy to make friends,cost of living is cheap and climate superb.Rent first is the best approach.Avoid hills if you don’t like walking and try and get apartment with good terrace and good aspect.
Learning Spanish is so important.Get a head strait before you come.I use apps (BABEL and YABLA).But you will still need a private teacher when you come.

Add me to the list of single newbies heading out to the Turre / Mojacar area by the end of the year!!
I have heaps of questions but might wait till a little closer the time.
First question though: Anybody know of a working band in the area who will need a drummer - when things get back to normality??
Really looking forward to meeting a great bunch of people.
