new years eve in the village the townhall give out grapes at midnight for the tradition of eating a grape on each stroke of the clock.  They usually have fireworks and entertainment.  It is very hard to find a parking space though but buses usually run up to the village from the playa.

Chrismas eve in Spain is their celebration time and most places are closed so that families can be at home to eat together.  Christmas day is also quiet and people go together for walks along the Playa.

The Three Kings Day in Spain on the 6th of January is the traditional present day for children and has parades everywhere.

Be aware, the parades are on 5th January, many people have made this mistake before.

Not sure about local Spanish events or parades so hopefully someone else who has been here longer can help with those apart from the Three Kings on Jan 6th but if you are looking for a good Dinner and live music Hostal Rural at the north end of Turre have Dinners and Live Music both Xmas and NYE days/evenings.

MiraFlores the Restaurant at the La Perulaca Camping resort in Los Gallardos also have something going on for Christmas and NYE with live music.

New Year's Eve before 11.45pm in Mojacar Pueblo is as dead as a door-nail. The last bus from the Playa arrives at the Pueblo around 8.35pm and there are no more buses until around 2.00am to bring back to the Playa those who ventured out. At 11.46pm Spaniards start to trickle out of their homes and into the previously booked restaurants. The local council dishes out free glasses of cava and a plastic bag of nine grapes to a usually organised half-frozen queue just outside of the ayuntanamiento offices. The atmosphere from freezing becomes red hot and for an hour or so there is happy activity including fireworks.

If you haven't got a car venture to the Pueblo wear a heavy overcoat, gloves, wool hat and ensure you have somebody with whom to talk. New Year is welcomed in the Playa at 11.00pm with special thanks to the BBC.
