HI ALL IM NEW TO THE POST.
MYSELF AND HUBBY WILL BE MOVING...HOPEFULLY IN NOVEMBER AND NEED TO KNOW THE INS AND OUTS OF GETTING OUR TIE AND THE TIMEING OF THIS APPLICATION.
DO WE GET THIS IN PLACE BEFORE WE GO OR WHILE WE ARE THERE. WE PLAN TO RENT FOR 1 YEAR MINIMUM THEN HOPEFULLY BUY.
you can only apply for a TIE when you are a resident and you have passed all the requirements for residency of income and health cover. So you must be sure that you have covered all the red tape before you come. Check and recheck the many posts of this forum giving the information. When you have a long term rental then you are able to register on a padron and to pay tax in Spain and look for a place to buy.
thank you Alicia, yeah I know what I need re health and finances which we will have I just needed to know if before or after I get there do I need to get done lol.
I gather then that the health insurance can be done prior to travel. just the residence to get once we are there.

hi all bit sad about restrictions here yet again...spain opening border but we cannot travel yet again. hope by September it gets better.

You can rent a good, fully furnished 2 - bed, 2-shower baths etc.-Groundfloor flat on the Playa (200m to the beach) from us and even buy our 3-flat (with Pool, garage, car port, and much more) house if need be. All straight and above board.
