Non Residence certificate
Has anyone applied for the Non Residency Certificate ? If so, what Police station can it be applied for in. Do I have to go to Almeria ? I need it to allow me to drive my Spanish car on a UK license .

No, TIE is for Residents. Non-residents certificate will have to be through one of the CNP offices dealing with it - Oficina de Extranjería in Almeria, and probably CNP Offices in El Ejido and Roquetas de Mar who are helping with Almerias backlog

I think your NIE is sufficient to drive a Spanish car on a UK licence if you're non-resident, although some traffic cops aren't aware of this as they presume you are resident if you own a local car. .
This was posted by Spanish police on another forum recently:
Non-resident's certificate is used to prove to the authorities that you are not a permanent resident in Spain.

Although it only has a 3 months validation, this document is useful even when it is expired because it can help you to prove the Police officer that you have applied for it, because it is only requested by those people who has to prove to the Spanish authorities their non-resident condition.

Yes it was N322 fb page I read it on . I wish the Police knew what they were doing ! I’m going to have to find out exactly where to go with the form I’ve filled in.
Hi
We are also non resident but own a Spanish car we drive on our UK licence and have not got any certificates. We do have our NIE but nothing else.
We have been stop checked by police several times but never a problem.
Hope that helps.
