We are currently in the UK. We have a car in Almeria which will be due the ITV in October. Our flights have been cancelled by Ryanair for October. Not sure we will travel there before next year now. Has Spain/Almeria extended the need to take a car for the ITV if the owner is not in Spain. We pay the car road tax by direct debit from our Spanish bank account. Thank you.

I too have the exact same problem .
My ITV is due in November but with with quarantine in place I also can't get over. Interested to hear if there are any allowances for this.
Hi! From what I know they haven't. My suggestion would be if you have a neighbour or someone who could take the car for you. If you have the keys in the UK you could send them ( I know you might not like that idea with them might getting lost but a neighbour sent their house keys via courrier for us to check for any water damage in their house) or before you come over make an appointment at the ITV and carry with you proof that you have just arrived in case you get stopped.
I raised this question on 9th June and below is the reply I got.I am relying on this and hope to pick up my car at the start of October.
"For the ITV, you will be able to drive it legally in October/ November the extension periods for the ITV which expired in June are from the 6- 12 you have until the 31 of JANUARY to get it passed, from the 13- 19 you have until 15-02-21 and 20th of june you have until the 2nd of March.

Thats because your ITV expired DURING the lockdown, but the other two peoples ITV is expiring after the lockdown there is no extension period for that.
Hi my ITV was due on Aug 19th went to book online told I had a further 3 Months be cause of the backlog. Just type itv in spain and pick english

If anyone is struggling to get an ITV done whilst over here, just ring the ITV station at La Hoya, Lorca and you can usually get it done the same day.
