Does anyone know if a face mask has to be worn whilst out walking with walking poles? It appears you don't need a mask for jogging on a pavement or cycling. Just need to know so don't fall foul of the law.

Masks are obligatory when walking.  Nordic sticks don’t make you jog or run.

I agree i often walk with a mobility stroller but always wear a mask even if it makes my nose run and i have to keep stopping.  They are a damned nuisance but in this present climate very necessary.

If masks help you from inhaling somebody's breath or spittle then wear them

Rather an agressive remark if it was aimed at me.  I never said anything about not wearing a mask in fact i frown at people who do not.  They are still a damned nuisance though.  In fact when i walk down the paseo  i am not likely to inhale anyone's breath nor spittle as i keep my distance anyway.

Lyn77, I won’t speak for Dee but I never thought was a remark aimed at anyone in particular just a general comment about the wearing of masks.

Let’s not forget, it’s the law whether we like it or not.

Surely, whether its the law or not is immaterial; it’s the right thing to do
