I too am apprehensive about visiting Mojacar. I haven't been there since February 2020 and wondering whether to travel during October/November having dismissed August and September.
1. I have no fears of the cleanliness of restaurants/supermarkets/shops. I understand all are making excellent efforts to keep their establishment Covid free.
2. I have fears of the plonkers (a) Who refuse to wear face masks (b) Who don't observe all anti Covid recommendations (c) "Hard" Cases who hang their face masks on restaurant/bar parasols to dry (d) Who do not know how to wear and adjust face masks and keep touching everything they see in supermarkets/shops (e) Who think anti Covid rules do not apply to them (f) Who think they can throw their arms around you and kiss you on the cheek (g) Who use apartment complex swimming pools and do not clean after them (h) Situations in departure and arrival airports, cleanliness on transfer services (i) assholes on transfer services and elsewhere who continuously pontificate their own safety over others instead of sharing their concerns.
3. Nobody can say at this stage that things won't improve or worsen in the area (although we're never short of "experts" on the matter).
4. It might cost a few bob extra to book flights later, but that's no big deal in the greater scheme of things. You can play Ryanair "roulette" and book and if you are prepared to kiss Adios to the few bob if you fail to travel then well and good.
