Boris is the Prime Minister of the UK and has survived Covid-19 infection. Things have been getting out of hand in the UK (and Ireland too) and he has had to react against the virus. Let's give him some credit and hope he continues in this way.

😂😂😂  That’s one of your jokes isn’t it Matthew? 😂😂

i stated about 8 weeks ago that he is a walking disaster to all in the UK , he has lost control of what is meant to be a UK into 4 countries

i mentioned this back then that he was a danger and never brought in a proper lock down, then let people go back to work, open bars, cafes, resteraunts etc etc

how can anyone defrnt this bumbling dangerour man

all i got was

WHO can do a better job

anyone with half a brain could see all this coming all the deaths that could have been avoided

so no i dont agree with you at all

I don't have a vote in the UK, but if I had I wouldn't be voting for Boris Johnson. I believe he has led the UK in the wrong direction on several matters e.g. Brexit, Covid-19 but he is the guy who can press the button. Nobody else can. He has a mandate from the people of England to drive on whatever direction. Nobody has to get into bed with Boris, but all of Europe including the UK must work with him.

Let's look at who voted him into government the hordes in the Bournemouth beaches, people filling the London Underground at the start of Covid, the people who refuse to obey rules regarding restrictions, those who travelled from and back to the UK during Covid, the thousands marching to have face masks permanently consigned to the bin, those fools who handle everything in supermarkets to ensure spread of the virus, those who fail to sneeze properly, those who refuse to self isolate when faced with the virus etc. etc.

The UK, Ireland, Spain is heading full speed towards another real lock-down. Let's not blame Boris Johnson for this. It's self responsibility where most people failed and if you look in the mirror most likely you'll see who is responsible.

Like I said in another post, we can't see Covid, we can't hear it and largely most are ignoring it like they won't be infected. We can't blame Boris Johnson for any of my allegations. A total lockdown is required asap anything else is just pussyfooting.

they never hade a proper lock down the first time , BJ has been sacked from nearly every job he has had the man and his cabinet are plain ti see at times lying through their teeth and cannot be trusted

in the so called UK for any issue that they have from Covid -19 to house breakers , petty criminals  and even hardened criminals right across the board there is in no way ANY deterrent or punishment, the UK along with the britex which no one can seem to deal  with in a sensible and conclusive  outcome  and the mess they have made of the Covid are the laughing stock of the political world

i  cant say who would be best for the PM but BJ is certainly the worst i have ever seen in my life time

Hate to contradict you Matthew, but Spain’s not heading for another lockdown - Madrid may be quarantined from the rest of Spain for a while - but here in the South it’s business as (new) normal

No problem with the contradiction Dario. The way things are shaping indicate there is a lazy attitude by many regarding proliferation of the virus. In Ireland the don't-give-a-whit people are under 45. After a terrific six months period of keepting the virus under  control and with the whole country taking a deserved bow things are changing for the worse. More terner s have been placed on some counties more than others. After ten days of this things don't appear to be improving.

I'm not au-fait with things in the UK or Spain at the moment, but I suspect from talking to my Spanish neighbours that Covid-laziness has slipped in and all it takes is a minority of assholes for Covid to get a sterner grip. Whatever happens the health systems of each country will have to be protected. The alternative is unthinkable. Therefore, I feel complete lockdowns in Spain and the UK along with Ireland will happen during the next few months.

I hope I'm wrong.

In Madrid, given the Madrileños I have seen down here, I’d say you’re certainly right with regards Covid laziness, but looking at my own little piece of the pie here, wearing masks, social distancing in queues, and respecting maximum capacities has indeed become normal.  I’m also certainly not hearing of any further outbreaks in this area.  Could well be that Madrid gets locked down again, because it’s spiraling out of control there, but seems pretty much under control here.
