Wanted: Bike locks
Hi everyone,
I’ve inherited a couple of bikes. Where would be the best place to get locks for them or if anyone has a couple to sell they no longer need. Thanks

Chinese shops sell them,,,Any Good ??? Don't know.
We've had three bikes stolen over the two years pre Covid. Embarrassingly, Mrs Matt's city bike complete with front wicker basket hasn't been touched (therefore, I don't need to lock it). But, my three hybrids have walked. Get a good lock in Lopez as in bike locks you get what you pay for.
There is a bike shop on the way into Garrucha from Mojacar, just past the castle on the left or else there is one at Borganvilas on the road heading towards Villaricos at the end of the row on the right.

Thanks Matthew. ...very much appreciated. Btw I just love those city bikes with wicker basket . I’ve got one at home in UK. I used it quite a bit cycling to my leisure activities and the local shops weather permitting. Have a good evening. S 🙏.

Hi Alicia,
That’s great and very kind of you. I don’t know my way around Mojacar that well. So where exactly is that. Anywhere near the Mojacar Playa Hotel? I’ll private message you after you have given me the details. Have a good evening. Thanks.

I reckon I have the Spanish Record for the amount of bikes stolen from us in one year. When you're buying a lock my advice is to buy the heaviest lock and heaviest chain available even if both are ugly. And even if you're popping into a shop for "just for a few seconds" lock and secure the bike outside.
The alternative is to buy a city bike complete with front wicker basket and old fashioned carrier at the rear complete with a used supermarket basket attached by wire. Nobody will steal it. Oh yes! The colour of the wicker basket must blend with your cycle protection helmet - according to Mrs Matt. Don't forget to buy a matching colour bell also - available for about €1.00 (for two) at the Chinese shops.
