Well, I don't know what you are making with small mosaic pieces but I made a Moorish mosaic embedded in the floor in front of my fire place that can be walked on, photo attached. Anything thiner than that in the floor will crack. You can do anything with these as long as you adjust the thickness of the cement that you are going to use. Anyway, I thought I mention this.
