Spanish sim card

Hi 

We live here but retain a UK 3 Mobile on Contract as it's Global. We also have a Mobile with a Spanish HITS Sim. 5€ for Sim and you get 5€ credit although I understand you  can get a particular 10€ recharge that gives you 100 minutes/'month. Possibly look on www.hits

No idea of other networks although years ago we dumped Vodafone as too expensive.

We have been over here for 2 months already waiting for our house to be renovated. I looked into the possibility of getting a Spanish sim as I thought calling the uk was expensive. As it turns out it has cost us nothing at all as we are with Three and their plans mostly have something called "Feel at Home" and if you call a uk number it is free as if you are actually in the U.K.

As from 15th June all mobile phone providers have to offer this and a plan to include calling host country numbers at a much lower price. Speak to your provider. You'll be surprised. Don't think it's worth making the sim change for one month unless you are planning to call huge numbers of Spanish numbers.

Can I ask what provider you're with in the UK? 

There has been a recent change in roaming charges in the UK law, with some providers scrapping them all together. See here :

This means you can use your phone abroad at no extra cost. I would advise calling your provider and double checking what their policy is.
