ISP for Mojácar

I am currently with Movistar. Their "10mb" gives me only 2.6 mb max. Any ideas about a provider with better speeds? I want to move to IPTV and my current service is almost fast enough! Keeping the phone would be a bonus. Price would also be an issue.

UPDATE - I now have fibre optic, contract for 50mb but often get even faster. Glad I stayed with Movistar;

Hi Bob, can you share the installation cost and monthly fee?

I live in Mojacar pueblo and recently I switch over to Telitec, getting my internet via a 4G router (which I had to pay for). I get very fast speeds - up to 75megs (just done a test an it was 63megs upload and 20megs download speed).

I'm paying between €30 and €40 per month - but it all depends on how much you download!

It was very simple to install. The 4G router arrived and I plugged it in and connected my computer to it via a LAN cable - and that was it...I was getting speeds of up to 75megs there and then.

Call them and talk to them, they have British people working in theTelitec Customer Services Department.

Telitec also said that there would soon be fibre optic cabling in the area.

I went to 4G after working through most of the slower, antenna linked internet deals on offer... got fed up with them...

I just spoke to Movistar about broadband speeds. My current 10mb contract gives me 2.6mb maximum.

In Q1 2017 Movistar will apply in Mojacar for permission to start installing the infrastructure for for high-speed internet. So it seems it will be available some time next year. They didn´t give any better commitment but that sounds good. They will offer 50mb for the current price, €49,48 inc. VAT. They will offer up to 300mb, but that will cost more!
