Any advice on transporting a dog to Mojacar would be massively appreciated. We are moving early June to Mojacar and currently are not finding any easy solutions for transporting our dog. Vaccinations etc are all in order, it's the physical transportation that's the current problem. Would love some advice!

Can't you take it on the same plane as you? I've seen dogs on planes in the cabin. If its a Doberman or St Bernard I can understand maybe there'd be a problem but I thought most airlines accommodated dogs. My last trip to UK I could her the blighter barking in the hold!

It's been a long-time since I've seen a dog in the cabin. It was probably a domestic flight in France!!! Ryan air, easy jet etc don't take pets in the hold/cargo. I just need to find someone who has experience of using an agent for transporting pets!

What? You mean the one's they put in handbags? Assistant? I know an American guy who had to have a short stay in hospital. His Service dog, a Collie ( with his own ID card ) stayed with him at his bedside.
If you are correct that all dogs will fly in the ( heated ) cargo hold then it will be stressful for almost all dogs.
My dog flew to Bermuda ( 8 hours ) in the cargo hold. She was as right as rain when she got out. ( although pleased to see me) . 6 years later she did the return journey and I have to say at considerably more expense than just one of my children!
Why don't you drive down and get the ferry Portsmouth to Bibao / Santander. They have dog kennels and you can walk them.

I personally couldn't entertain anything other than driving over with my pet dogs. I'd want to know they are safe with me and not stressed. We are planning to do the tunnel most likely or maybe the boat when we have secured our house.
Please do not put your dog in the hold of a plane, its very stressful for the dog, and why would you give your most valued and prized possession to someone you dont know. The only way as far I am concerned is you drive over with the dog in the car with you. If you really cant do that and insist in useing a transportation company them please use one that only take one or 2 dogs at a time, and not one of the big ones that take over 10, they are not treated well. I could tell you horror stories.
