Dogs on local buses THANKS - ANSWERED

no dogs are not allowed on the buses only guide dogs or in a cage or carrier so you were lucky the driver let you on.  and there are no designated beaches for dogs in Mojacar all beaches have signs for no dogs but that doesn't stop the dog owners using the beaches when they are quiet ok if they clean up when their dog does a poo!  unfortunately there are those who don't.  Best beach is probably the far side of Garrucha in the Vera Playa end as the top is a long way from the sea. 

By law dogs in Spain are not allowed on beaches. For good reason. They can spoil the beaches by pooping. Having said that, out of season (from October to March) you can probably be safe from being fined… And I am a dog owner.

Buses and trains … the usual rule is that your dog must be small enough to fit into a carrier. So a Labrador or Retriever will not be allowed on - unless it’s an assistance dog. 

This differs from Britain which is hugely liberal by contrast! I used to take my Retriever on trains and buses all over the place. Happy days!

A beach just over the border before Aguilas  Dog friendly all year.   it’s lovely too.  We go regularly ,a day out just up last San Juan de los terreros ,obviously not handy every day but we’ll worth the trip.
