Hi, we have a dog that is raw fed at the moment. We are coming over in March for 3 months, we are switching to dry kibble and want to know can we bring in bags of dried dog food when travelling by car?

'For personal use'.

TiendeAnimal and Kiwoko retails a huge variety of dogfoods,  for any size, age, dietary needs etc, there's no need to worry.

Yes you can bring dry dog food with you. But if you are looking for raw, Iceland in Vera have a in house butcher, and he sells 1klg packets of raw dog food, he minces up pork, lamb and beef all together and its 1.20 euro for 1 klgs, there is no fat or bones, just the left over ends of the meat that he minces,, my dogs love it.

Agree with Jenni, all 4 of our Mastins are fed a full, raw diet, raw meat, raw fruit and veg. We also use the Spanish butcher in Iceland and they also do very good meat as well at sensible prices. Why change to a dry food diet when raw is so much healthier? Ours have been on it for over 4 years now and all are fit, healthy and no skin problems.

Good luck whichever you do,

Paul.

Thanks for your reply, that's interesting to know. We've been raw feeding for 2 years now and I agree she has no skin, digestive problems. We're going through some behaviour issues and the vets quering her diet. It's good to know where to buy raw meat from. A friend of mine has just moved to malaga and was getting desperate to find a supplier, she now has sourced meat for her dogs. Thank you for your reply it's been very helpful.

Thanks Jenni, I think we will need to decide what to do. There's less digestive issues with raw and wasn't sure we would be able to source it,but now we know. Thanks ever so much for your reply.
