The sad fact is that your dogs behaviour could change to being nervous to go out..... which would be sad. What you have to consider is if you did not denounce this dog, and a young child was walking their dog by themselves, and it attacked it, not only could the dog be injured but the child as we...

...ll. Yes carry something to give the aggressor a fright, but please report it also for yours and everyone's peice of mind. Good luck.

There are lots of Nannie's posts with which I don't agree, but I agree with every word she said above. Report the offending dog owners to the police and fast before somebody gets killed or savaged. I note the usual "defenders of all things dog" are keeping a distance from this thread.

I sympathise with the post as I had an unfortunate incident with an unsecured alsation last month on the coastal path between Indalo & Macenas .Thankfully it did not occur at the high narrow part of the path which would haves been highly sangerous but on the low part of the path near Macenas .The alsation ran at me as I rounded the corner into view & bit my backside resulting in medical treatment .I had arrived in Spain from London that morning and no way to protect myself but now have a small pepper spray aerosol which I will carry everywhere.

TheSpanish owners of the 2 dogs ( the non alsation was also not on a lead but thankfully didn’t join in )simply said sorry.

The signs at either end of Macenas beach regarding dog regulation have been spray painted out.

I have two dogs.  I met two dogs like the ones in the picture!   on a lead held by a very slight girl on Macenas beach.  I was terrified for my dogs.  I would never allow a bad dog to ruin my little dogs life. Your dog Will be frightened . You Must denounce that dog asap.    Guess which are mine lol.

"The signs at either end of Macenas beach regarding dog regulation have been spray painted out." - A quote from Chico above.

1. This just shows how unconcerned the dog owners of the area are and how much they feel obliged to break the law of the land.

2. The beaches in Mojacar are now closed all year round to dogs, but their owners still leave them run and roam around the beaches and out of control. You can complain though even by email to the email address at some of these signs. Believe me, your email will be acted upon as the Mayor of Mojacar has fought hard to retain the Blue Flags there. It's only a matter of time before the police intervene and the sooner the better.

That’s horrendous . I just wish the law was ALL DOGS ON LEADS OR WEARING MUZZLES.

I live in London but my wife & myself have owned an apartment in Macenas since 2099 which we visit regularly .

This incident , to be put in perspective , is relatively rare however that does not make it any less dangerous .

I do feel the regular police patrols  along Macenas  beach should be more active with their view to dog regulations & certainly with the defacing of the restriction notices at both ends of the beach .

Unfortunately it only takes a very small section of the dog owner community to make me involved as almost  all  dog owners comply with the regulations .

2099.....LOL..... love what happens when the wrong key is pressed by mistake!  As for your comments I agree 100%...... the fines would pay for a couple of dog wardens.

I’m Sure you meant 2009 lol.  We were up on ladders in 2003 when it was still all black mountain looking at the views when Soros started it. My best friends live on Macenas . I think peoples suggestion of a dog beach would have been great but it seems to have gone the other way for them. I do however feel that since it’s Very quiet from Nov to March. they should be allowed in Winter.
