D&D Property Car / Villa Separate

My family have just returned home from staying in Villa Separate in Mojacar, rented through D&D Property Care, Rentals & Sales, and I thought I would share with you our extraordinarily terrible experiences in this property. I brought family to Mojacar for our wedding celebrations, and to spend time together. We saved hard and spent over €3000 on the Villa only to find, what should have been a wonderful experience, full joyous memories tainted by countless problems.

After raising complaints with D&D Property Care, Rentals & Sales in Mojacar, I was simply dismissed, in fact I was accused of breaking the terms of my Holiday Letting Contract, which was quite perplexing, as we never received or signed a contract despite it be required in Spanish Law. Anyway, here is a substantial list of the problems we were forced to endure in our week.

Downstairs apartment.

1. Broken fridge freezer, no ice, and a hot fridge.
2. Broken and leaking sink with stagnant water below
3. Unusable kitchen oven and hob, constant power trips.
4. Air conditioning tripping electric supply
5. Dirty and mouldy showers downstairs

Upstairs apartment

1. Mouldy smelly hot tub even after I purchased my own chlorine tablets
2. Open live electrical fittings in bedroom
3. Missing lampshades in bedroom
4. Air conditioners, lights, appliances tripping electrics for whole property
5. Dishwasher not installed correctly, so fell out of base unit every time it was opened. This was a very heavy piece of equipment when loaded and quite dangerous.
6. Could not lock the patio doors onto balcony.
7. Mouldy growing around bath and bathroom window.
8. Black mould coming out of the whirlpool bath fittings when using shower.
9. Whirlpool bath not working.

General faults

1. Insufficient keys (only one set) for 10 people, forced leave property unsecured
2. No welcome / information pack available. (In fact I am still waiting for someone to ask where the keys have been left upon our departure)
3. Insufficient seating / for 10 people to eat meals together (whole point of holiday, being together)
4. Dirty (very cloudy) and damaged (missing tiles on steps, with very sharp edges leading to cut feet in swimming pool.
5. Trying to cook meals was extremely difficult and challenging, while be forced to manage the electric supply. 
6. I was forced to reset the outside master breaker trip switch 3 to 4 times a day, and finally used a broom to forcibly stop the trip switch from cutting off the supplies. Clearly this property is under powered. When you book a villa for 10 people all 10 should be able to use the advertised facilities, and not spend each day sharing, or deciding who can and cannot use what electrical supply! 
7. TV upstairs completely unusable as no English channels availability, and only pirated/illegal TV channels available downstairs. (local authorities informed)

Mojacar is a beautiful town, but renting your holiday home through D&D Property Care, Rentals & Sales should be avoided if you want to relax in safe surroundings, with fully working facilities, and your holiday letting complies with Spanish rental law.
