Fishing
Is it possible to fish from the beach or pier in Mojacar or Garrucha and do I need a licence, we are staying for a couple of months and wonder if its worth bringing our rods? Thank you
If you e mail [email protected]. you will get factual info from the Visitor Information Centre. Have heard the usual whispers about rods being confiscated.
Gordon on gordon.oneill@ live.co.uk who does fishing trips out of Garrucha would also know.
There is a Mojacar Angling Club out of Beachcomber Bar/ Restaurant.
Tight lines,
Bob and Sandra
Mojacar Playa and Puerto Lumbreras
Thanks for the info, we are on the case and will report back asap
In Adalucia you are required to do a course in order to obtain a licence for fresh water fishing, do not know but I assume same for sea fishing.

Hi. The licence is free if you are a resident senior citizen and there's a fee of 15 euros for arranging to submit your form and acquiring your licence from Almeria; saves your having to go there yourself.
Would check the Beachcomber club. Bob left a couple or so years ago.
