We joined the forum a few months ago and have been reading the posts with interest.

Now that our cortijo is finally ours I feel it is time to introduce ourselves - Jill and Brian

We have bought in a hamlet close to El Marchal, Lubrin. Our cortijo took around 8 months to complete ( still a few things to resolve) - the joys of buying something around 90 years old.

Lots of questions for you - any advice or recommendations gratefully accepted as we have lots to sort out.

Some of the work we will be doing ourselves, but other things we will need people in to do so here goes...….

1. We need good internet connection

2. We need to replace 2 small traditional windows ( no glass at all in them)

3. We need a supplier / fitter of 2 air con units

4. We may need a good electrician

5, We have checked out the builders merchants in Vera, but need somewhere else to view and cost up  bathroom          suites/supplies and the same for kitchen units...….. for us to install.

My partner is a builder / plasterer as you may have guessed and when we are all completed and spending more time in Spain he will be looking for work. Will he be able to find much ?
