Looking at moving to Sorbas Area lovely county villa, thinking of opening.a cattery do you think there is a demand for one, I love ragdolls and maybe breed one day, but offering loving homes for holiday stays. What are your thoughts , long and short term loving accommodation  we will look after your cats as our own

I think a battery would be a success . But personally there are enough homeless cats without breeding more sorry.

You will find there are hundreds of ferral cats all over the place. Would not advise breeding as you are not allowed to advertise on any of the forums or sites and you will probably get slandered for breeding cats, irrespective of whether they are a special breed or not. This applies even more where dog breeding is concerned.

A cattery may be a good idea but do your homework first as a lot of people do home/pet sitting for very reasonable rates and with you being out in the sticks, so to speak, many people win't travel to kennels or catteries.

Good luck,

Paul.

I agree with previous posts about breeding for profit would cause lots of criticism.

My friends friend owns a cattery and soon will be retiring due to the stress of the amount of cats and kittens dumped at her gate some healthy some in terrible states.
