Hi. I've been visiting here in the Los Gallardos/Mojacar and love the area very much. I have noticed there are vast numbers of abandoned properties and/or land for sale, some with contact numbers written on the actual buildings, but most of the time, these numbers do not exist anymore. How is it possible to find the owners of these places in an attempt to discuss and negotiate a potential purchase? Any advise or help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you,

Shayne

Hi,

What an interesting query. Just a few suggestions.

For Mojacar you could ask for guidance from

[email protected]. which is Tourist Info attached to the Town Hall/ Ayuntamiento.

They may advise who to speak to at the Town Hall.

Think Land Registry in Almeria City may need to be queried but that will need a Legal Representative.

CAT SERVICES in La Alfoquia.or GL Services in Turre. Fixer Agencies both on e mail although the former really useless with e mails so maybe phone. Both on Google Search.

Lastly a formal Legal Representative and have to speak as I find Grupo Salvador on.the Paseo de Mediterraneo. Ana in Administration is really switched on.

Pls let us all know how you have fared & wish you the very best of luck.

Saludos,

Bob and Sandra

Start at the town hall, I do not think by law that they can give out this information. But this is Spain and you may find a helpful person. You will require some sort of referance point for them to start the search, grid reference you can use Google earth to find this.

Hi again,

Alant.is corect. Some years.back we were to.embargo the property.of a builder for.appalling work & theft of motor vehicle. We learned that he had placed the property in the hands of a Solicitor while he fled the country. You may find this hard to believe but we approached the Solicitor & we given copies of the Deeds & his NIE & Passport.

Our Solicitor was appalled.

Know there is an English speaking chap at Mojacar Town Hall in Pueblo on Thursdays.

Best Wishes,

Bob and Sandra

Hi Bob and Sandra. Thanks for your help and advice on this matter👍. Once I’ve managed to trace any owners, there’s still so much to think about and be aware of before handing over any hard earned cash😁, but at least now I have a starting point😃. Unfortunately I have to head back to the UK earlier than planned but should be back in April. I will let you know if my progress. Thanks again😃👍, Shayne
