Like the look of some of the penthouse type apartments in Los Gallardos surrounding pool & garden areas very nice, apartments spacious and great solarium space , but how long to get into Mojacar and is it possible to get there by bus and how frequent is service, how much by taxi?

Hi

15-20 min by car/'m/cycle. Yes.there is a bus service. If you look on www.alsabus for timetable.

No idea of taxi but the staff at the Ayuntamiento on [email protected] may well give a ball park figure.

Happy New Year,

Bob and Sandra

The current bus timetable is at http://autocaresbaraza.com/res/rutas/pdf/Ruta11.pdf

The bus stop is up the road from the oblongabout. So if you are looking at properties in Huerta Nueva, which is where ours is, then you'll have a 15-20 minute walk to get to the bus stop depending on which end of the urbanisation your property is located.

We bought there also due to the nice environment, green areas, great properties at a better price than on the coast and the pool - you only have access to the one in your part of the urbanisation, you can't use the others and the door is controlled by a key fob. There is a nice friendly mix of permanent residents and those like us that are there on holidays, particularly on our part of the urbanisation at Los Cerezos which is one of the smaller parts.

There are of course the official taxis but you will find that one or two people will take people they know (not strangers) into Mojacar or other local places or even for pickups and dropoff at the airports for a (shall we say) "contribution towards the petrol". All unofficial but useful. Going into Mojacar and then coming back later would probably be a contribution of €20 or €25. Once you are there you get to know the details.
