Hi

Can anyone please help. We are flying back to the UK on Monday 20th Dec and now have to have a Pcr test before we fly back.

Does anyone know where we can get a test done on a weekend as it has to be done 48 hours before we fly. Thank. You.

You don't have to have a PCR test, although you can if you prefer. This is from the gov uk site:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19

"From 4am, Tuesday 7 December all people aged 12 years and over must take a PCR or LFD COVID-19 test before they travel to England from abroad.

You must take the test within the 2 days before you travel to England.

This will apply whether you qualify as fully vaccinated or not."

Note - this is (at the moment) for England, not the rest of the UK

Spot on Ann24 , I think this could change upwards at anytime . England went from 2 cases new variant to 6 then to 120 plus in 3 days . I head back to mojacar on the 15 th so far no testing required going that way . Have a safe journey. Janet1963.   I will do a lateral flo test before I leave uk to make sure I’m ok . I have done 3 in the last couple of weeks because I’ve had a number of hospital appointments. Last one pcr Thursday for appointment and procedure yesterday . So don’t worry Mojacar not bringing anything back that I shouldn’t

I'm afraid I don't know the Los Gallardos area. A lot of pharmacies do lateral flow tests. Might be worth asking at your nearest local one that is doing weekend cover that Saturday if they do them. Other than that I've been told that Alicante Airport are doing same day ones. I assume you have to book in advance. Hope this helps.

We fly out this week and are returnng on 20th as well from Alicante. We have had our tests twice before in the Farmacia in the cetre of Vera. This was the cheapest in the area. It was 30 euros.  It is close to the indoor market and Las Canas  (Tapas Bar which is very good)

We are going to book when we get out as you will not get an instant appointment unless very lucky

They are open Saturdays until 2.00pm and it is also Vera market. You cannd them on internet.

Hi Janet Echevarne clinic at Vera bull roundabout does the test. They give you the results in 15 minutes. I’ve seen holiday makers queuing there at the end of summer. I also enquired for my daughter & you have to book it . At the time it was €40.               They are very nice in there , they did use to be open on a Saturday morning.             I do believe this testing rule from England starts tomorrow.                                          Good luck
