Jim + Helen, depends on what you are looking for but theres a 3 bed villa just come on the market near the bar.  It is "walk in" condition (though no pool).    if you want details just ask and we will forward.  Happy packing lol.     Mary

hi everyone ..we are looking to move to cucador ...there is a villa close to a bar restaurant called La Vida..can anyone tell us about this small area..is it mostly british..or spanish or other nationalities ?.....it looks like a really quiet area,this is what we are looking for we currently live in tenerife and have for 3 yrs,and for various reasons we are moving...any info. about surrounding area would also be greatful..is it poss to walk to la alfoquia in half hour or so?  and what amenities are in la alfoquia..we like some tapas bars and restaurants...how many supermarkets ..shops.. ect......and are there different clubs to join ?..we look forward to making new friends and having new adventures....cheers andy and sue collier

hi Andycol well before the lockdown La Vida bar restaurant was a very popular place with live music so not very quiet.  It's run by Danny B of Spectrum FM fame and his partner.  If you walked to Alfoquia it's a long way off.  There are various bars, restaurants in that area but you certainly couldn't walk there in the evenings.  There are a mixture of English Spanish in the local vicinity.   A better place for quiet is Arboleas and there you can check with the townhall on the legality of a property, when they open for business again that is.  You can walk into the village from various areas around and they have some good bars and a tea room which will hopefully reopen in the future.  There are banks,a chemist,a good medical centre and a gym and a dentist in the village.  we lived there for 16 years but moved to Mojacar as if was too quiet for us and we like the coast now.
