Moving to La Alfoquia

2 suggestions.

1. Obtain a copy of The Almeria Focus & directory free monthly ( OR ON LINE).-the Clubs and Interest Groups are towards the back.

2. Look on www.arboleas.co.uk (Arboleas Forum ).

There are clubs in the index.

Hi Kazza,

There are many places to find out more. As the local estate agent we can certainly help but also pick up the local papers such as The Euro Weekly and Sol Times and the Almeria Living magazine which are available in most bars, restaurants, supermarkets.

There is also Cat Services on the end of the main street in the village which do translations and many other services and events and are the best place to get a good all round knowledge of what is happening in the area. They also have the Harmony Haven charity.

Also on the main road from La Alfoquia to Zurgena you will see the Helping Hand Almanzora charity shop (no sign but it has some of our properties in the side window so you know which it is. They are a font of all knowledge.

There is also the bowling green and excellent bars and restaurants in the village to get to know people.

There are a number of facebook pages aswell. Just put in a search for La Alfoquia or Zurgena.

Just seen this and hope you have settled in and met some new friends. If not already found, there is a walking group on a Wednesday 10-12am from the Pool Bar (near the football pitch) lead by Kath starts at 10am, you can take your dog on a lead. The group usually meet afterwards in the Pool Bar for a drink.
