Hi all does anyone know where to get spring roll sheets/wrapper from and hot chillies? All the chillies in supermarkets seem to be regular not spicy. I've tried the markets also.

You can get hot chilies from Consum, Huercul Overa  (they also sell fresh beansprouts).

I would also like to know where to get the spring roll sheets/won ton wrappers and other ingredients for Chinese/Thai/Malay recipes.

I've seen the spring roll wrappers in Consum, and they also have a limited selection of other ingredients, but nothing like you would find in a good UK supermarket, let alone a Chinese supermarket. As for chillies the same issue - the Spanish tastes in food do not really go to the hot side and I've not seen that big a selection of fresh hot chillies. The English Supermarket has a selection of Indian and other things, so it might be worth a chat with them, perhaps their suppliers have a range? Similarly, perhaps a chat with the people who run one of the Chinese shops might reveal somewhere?

I too would be interested if anyone knows of any specialist shops within a reasonable distance.

They sell the long, thin red chillies in the Moroccan butchers (next to the Chinese restaurant on the N-340a and opposite MacGoods supermarket).  They also sell Harissa paste, made from hot chillies.  They carry a few basic supplies for South American cuisine, including some hot sauce.  There are a few places in town which sell South American basics such as tortilla wraps, but I have not seen any spring roll wrappers.

There is a wholesale of oriental groceries in Murcia.  Not sure if they deal with individuals, but it's worth a try:

遠東 Yuen Tong Supermarket (Murcia Warehouse) C./Aldebaran 51 Pol. Ind. Estrella, Molina De Segura, 30500 Murcia
Tel: (+34) 96-8603260
Fax: (+34) 96-8603265

Or online.  This company has shops in Barcelona and Madrid, but they do online supplies and apparently delivery is free if you spend over 60€.

Hi, I had this problem with chillis for my con carne. Solved it by going to a garden centre and buying a chilli plant. Looks good too! And you can freeze them or keep them as dried.  Mark
