Hi

I recently moved to huercal overa and I wondered if there is someone who could teach the basics of pool maintenance

I have tried a couple of companies whilst we were in the uk but they proved to be unreliable so I would like to learn to do it myself

Obviously willing to pay for the advice

Tbh there’s loads of pool cleaners that will teach u near me in Andalusia .

I install kitchens and bathrooms and have given lessons to owners of villas so that they can do their own tiling , and they made a very good job of it too

You seem to have missed the point. I have tried using pool cleaning firms and they are unreliable. I am not into taking away people’s jobs I actually employ quite a number of people in the area so please no lectures, just helpful advice welc

You might in the long run be best finding this out on YouTube.  There are masses of videos on this sort of thing.  The only other thing I can think of is to ask a nice neighbour who does DIY pool maintenance, or someone on this s forum migh give you the advice you need - which I would gladly do if I had a pool!  There are lots of people who do their own maintenance here.  Most in fact, unless they are only here for holidays.

I also said that we recently moved to Spain. Do you really think that I was using a UK firm to maintain my pool in Spain.

I thought that this forum was for helpful information not for lectures on ethics and grammar and personal insults

Sorry about these rude replies. I have warned the member now and they will be banned if they do it again. This is a friendly forum where any question can be asked, and the replies from that member were completely unacceptable.

Hi

Thank you for your reply. I am slowly getting the hang of things but one question I have is regarding the filter.

Is there a basket to the filter similar to the pump or does it just suffice to backwash?

Regards

Richard
