Los Lucas is an excellent restaurant over in the hills near the wind turbines in Puertoceco apologies for bad spelling, theres sometimes up to a three week wait !! We prefer the menu del dia but do go as well to the del noche.

Can thouroughly recommend The bowling alley on the way to Albox as well as great food at Bar la Union in Arboleas, we fell lucky with the tuesday special and got fish n chips at €6 euros !!

Hi, we've been here 2 and a half years and dont know of any restaurants in town, tapas yes but actual sit down reasonably priced restaurants no. You have to travel a bit as suggested, is youre problem you dont have a car or designated driver ?

Hi,

If you are looking for an English breakfast or a mid day meal try the Corner Cafe which has a english shop next to it and it's opposite the football stadium in Huercal Overa.  Excellent food in lovely little cafe.

contrary to what chevy said.... there are quite a few restaurants in HO, starting off on top road straight past Lidl, there is Tinaja (big pot outside) they offer very nice spanish style food, but i dont think they start cooking till after 8.

in the square behind mercadona is New Why Not...they do a range of pizzas and plato combinados, which is basically meat or fish, chips n normally a fried egg on there too...

on the bottom road you have Artesa, which do excellent pizzas but is a nice sit down restaurant on the left as you go in, your given a choice to sit in the bar área but you can sit in the restaurant

then youve got the chinese restaurant...it mainly lives on the takaway customers but it is a restaurant where you can go and sit in to eat

just after dia on the bottom rd if you turn left, teres a restaurant called Las Vegas, here again you can get a nice sit down in the bar, outside or in the restaurant...

then the last one I can think of is Alataya as your going out of town towards pulpi, its on the right...very nice steaks in there last time I went..

oh forgot one..... Tennis Club, turn right on the bend after dia, just over the bridge, hand a right again and they are there....

most places will offer menú del dia but will also have a real manu if you want one....and to be honest most of the bars offer food too.... if your from santa maria área, try Bar Barrio or La Ermita..both have excellent food

hope that helps, just missing an indian..lol
