I first came to Mojacar on a viewing trip a while back and we stayed in an apartment in the complex they were selling.  Unimpressed, we spent our few days asking around  and an agent recommended to us showed us something that appealed more and was a good price.  We told the first agent that we'd talked it over and wouldn't be interested in buying in their complex and happily paid for the accommodation.  The flights we'd already paid for as they would have reimbursed the cost if we'd decided to buy.  We then sent out a deposit for the property we'd liked and three months later we flew to Almeria and completed the sale.

I suppose it should be safe. They do act as an estate agent so you will be limited to finding something that fits your criteria from their list and that could be frustrating when you see what other agents are advertising .  I would imagine that there will be plenty of choice in the middle price range but less in the lower price range  - under 110 euros, say.  They will have plenty to offer in the countryside probably  so jus remember that can just mean colder in the winter and even snow the further you are from the coast.  Do you want a holiday property or do you plan to live here?

Those places you mention can have colder winters .Albox is about 45 minutes by car to the beach and Ueila del Campo is about the same.  You shouldn't ever get snow in Huércal Overa.  You could also consider Sorbas, Tabernas and maybe Antas, Zurgena and Alfoquia.  Even in Vera or Cuevas you could find a decent apartment within that range of if you don't mind a resale.  I can't see that 90 thousand will buy you a house unless you go for a traditional village house although you could be lucky in the Huércal Overa área.
