Currently looking at private medical cover for when we retire to Urcal later this year. Haven't found a company as yet that includes Hospital La Inmaculada in Huercal Overa as standard hospital for area. Most are Lorca and Murcia. Any comments to lead me in right direction please

Unfortunately, this is the case with all private health insurances that we know of. A product of living in this part of Spain. We had the same problem when we moved here 10 years ago. 50 km either way and there are so many options to choose from but, sadly here is very sparcely covered. Fortunately we have not had to use it often but when we have, we have had to travel to Almeria city which can be a pain in the butt. Good luck with your search.

Hi , spoke to me contact Karen at Collyfer who have our Funeral Plan with free Travel Insurance. suggests Allianz & Mapfre.but you have to be under 55.
She will look on line later when at Office.

I got insurance through la caiaxa bank it includes huercal overa please contact me if you need more information 😊

I would be interested too re medical insurance that covers H-O hospital - My bank HSBC doesn’t have a presence in Spain which rather surprised me; so I was thinking of La Caiaxa - would you recommend? Thanks
