Is there any meno lady on same HRT as me?

can you buy Estrogel pump-pack (estrdiol) and utrogestan 100mg capsules (progesterone) at the pharmacy with prescription? And how much?

I am also on Androfeme but I doubt that will be available as it is only licensed in Australia at the moment.

If I need to get a Doctors prescription who would you recommend and how much? In Huercal-overa town.

Thankyou

Hi. I cannot help you with the specific medication you are referring to, but I bought methotrexate which was under 2€ for a 28 day supply. On the other hand my husband's

Escitalopram,  Esoneprazole, Ropinirole  are all around 20€, 25€ for 28 day supply.  The farmacy indicated on the map below speak English, open 24 hours, and you can buy  the above without prescription. It is best if you take a box with you so you are sure you are getting the same thing.  I haven't registered with a surgery yet but medicine, I am told, is extremely cheap if you have a social security card.

Hope this helps

Hi, why dont you register with the surgery in Urcal ?

Miriam the receptionist is great, speaks good english and if you register they'll help with the Spanish version of any meds you need.

Getting a medical card might take you a couple of months.

If your pensionable age and register you'll go thru blood and urine screens, ECG's and Mammograms and/or prostate exams tho my prostate showed up as ok via my bloodworks.

If your under pensionable age you most likely will need private health care but I think you can still register with the surgery here and have the necessary tests done.

The Spanish healthcare system is very good and if as above you are of pensionable age you pay just 10% of the cost of a prescription, so for instance what you'd pay for one item in the uk you might get all your meds for that same price.

The medical card once you get one enables you to get your meds at any pharmacia and if they dont stock it can/will get that item either the same day or the next.

Some of the pharmacia staff in some, but not all pharmacia speak english or can understand google translate.

Some of the staff/doctors at La Immaculada speak reasonable english, we muddle thru and get there in the end and the ambulance service is first class.

Hope that helps in some way.

The pharmacia illustrated is in Huercal overa high street and some of the staff there speak english well enough and are very helpful.
