We currently get our house water from our local farmer, he also fills our swimming pool up too, when we need it doing providing we give him loads of notice, he will then do it when it is convenient for him, not necessarily for us, as in this case. We need it pool filling but he can't do it until Friday at 6pm, so can anyone suggest an alternative route to getting water into my pool, it's a 10m x 5m, it is currently half full because i had some maintenance done on it, I understand that there will probably be a cost involved, but i don't like to be held over a barrel

Hi Mike,

There was a post on Arboleas Forum some months back as to whether it was acceptable/legal/permitted to run your mains Galasa water into your pool and it was and you paid on your bill but I think you mentioned you had no mains water!!!???

For the finca we use Gines Agua of Puerto Lumbreras and they have a 13,000L tanker. The female member of staff in the office speaks English or I wouldn't manage obviously but not sure if they deliver as far as you, but you can ask.

Tel for Office is 0034 600550239 you may have to meet on main road.

Mention you are friends of Bob & Sandra, Casa del Rubio, who knows it may help. There is also a supplier at Santa Maria but I've mislaid the number. If you are going to Huercal Overa shopping if you go left at the autovia junction to to the town that goes to SM but you probably know. It's 2/3 of the way through the village on right hand side and often he has his tankers parked outside if not committed.

Also Swimming Pool fitters. They would have an idea of where locally. They are in The Almeria Focus Mag.

Sorry a bit long and garbled.

Best Wishes,

Bob & Sandra

Don't need it yet but partners pool is said to require 45,000 litres of water to be refilled, pool is the usual 8metre x 4 metre, we've seen/heard about Cabrera mountain tanker deliveries x two to fill the pool, drinking quality !!, anyone confirm this ? and how much.

Not sure of name but a tanker operator is adjacent 21kl marker on road to Veloz Rubio from Huercal, he fills a lot of pools in area.

We had our pool filled in June by Transportes Puerto Adentro in Puerto Lumbreras (tel 968 40 29 50).  We needed 60,000 ltrs. That was 5 truck loads x 12,000 ltrs at EUR80 per load.

Anyone recommend pool renovators, acid wash, jet wash, replace tiles, re-grout etc and replace two pool lights, Huercal Overa/ Urcal area who can pump out pool contents and re-fill with new fresh water ?, ( Cabrera mountain water?), , pool needs to be pumped out ideally via tanker as houses close by and not much in the way of ramblas to dispose of "old" pool water.

Any time up to late March, early April.

Any help and/or suggestions most welcome.

Pump out and re-fill can be separate, can be done independant of pool reno.

Thx

Hi Jim,

Oz shopped round for quotes for.identical work on his.pool. You would not believe the quotes he had. Some in the 1000s of €€€€s.( needless to say all non-Spanish).

Naxo quoted him 700€.

If you look up Mike on Geckografix give him a ring. He knows we are acquaintances.

Best wishes to you both,

Bob and Sandra
